The superstar of the Los Angeles Lakers basketball team reached another peak during his time in the NBA.
Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James received a new honor in his career after his team’s game against the Brooklyn Nets on Thursday in the National Basketball Association League.
James surpassed the NBA record of 35,000 points on the day the Lakers lost 109-98 to the Nets, and is still the third-highest scoring player in league history, behind Kareem Abdul Jabbar and Carl Malone, behind the late Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan.
LeBron James, 36, is the youngest player in NBA history to join the 35,000-strong club. If he continues with the current trend of scoring in the league, after 125 games, that is, in the 2022-23 season, he will break Karim Abdul Jabbar’s record and become the most scoring player in NBA history.
The closest active player in the league to James’s record is Carmelo Anthony with 26,000 points.
