Who is Kyle Kuzma?

Kyle Kuzma is an American professional basketball player who plays as a power forward for the National Basketball Association (NBA) Los Angeles Lakers. In his junior year, he played college basketball for the Utah Utes while studying at the University of Utah and was named first team of all conferences at Pac12 in 2016-17. Soon after, the Brooklyn Nets selected him as the 27th pick and traded him to the Lakers on draft day. In his rookie season, he reached several milestones, including being named “Rookie of the Month” in his first month and was inducted into the “NBA AllRookie First Team.” He played twice in the NBA Rising Stars Challenge in 2018 and 2019 and was named the MVP of the latter game for scoring a game with 35 points.  Early Life

Kyle Alexander Kuzma was born on July 24, 1995 in Flint, Michigan, USA to Karri Kuzma of German, English and Ukrainian ancestry and an African American father. He grew up with his mother, a high school shot put champion, his stepfather Larry Smith, and his stepbrothers Andre and Briana.

Bentley High School

He developed a passion for basketball after his parents fitted him with a toy basketball hoop when he was only two years old. He went to Swartz Creek Community School, but soon moved to Bentley High School, where in his junior year he averaged 17.9 points, 14.4 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 3.4 blocks per game.

College career

Kyle Kuzma joined the University of Utah in 2013, but has his freshman year signing late in red jerseys. In his second year, as a starter, he scored an average of 10.8 points per game. In 2016-17 he won the Junior AllPac12 of the first team with an average of 16.4 points, 9.3 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game. By the time he decided to compete in the 2017 NBA Draft, he had a degree in sociology and had a year left in college.

 Professional career

Kyle Kuzma, who is expected to advance to the second round  in the 2017 NBA draft or even not be selected, was selected by the Brooklyn Nets as the 27th  pick overall. However, he was moved to the Los Angeles Lakers on Draft day and signed his rookie contract with the Lakers on July 3.

NBA Summer League

In the 2017 NBA Summer League, he played eight games for the Lakers, six as a starter, and was the top scorer in seven games. One thing you need to know about Kyle Kuzma Professional Basketball player is that after 20 games, he was the first NBA rookie to score at least 330 points, 120 rebounds and 30 trios.  In his first game  as a starter on November 3, 2017, he had his first double-double with 21 points and 13 rebounds, followed by another with 30 points and 10 rebounds two weeks later.

Kuzma was selected for the second time in 2019 for the Rising Stars Challenge, where he became MVP. One thing you need to know about Kyle Kuzma Professional Basketball player is that in the 2018-19 season he reached a season high of 37 points and a personal record of 41 points.
